WELCOME TO ST. MAARTEN & ST. MARTIN

St. Martin & Sint Maarten Travel: Tips, hotels, flights, car rentals, and more.

St. Maarten / St. Martin is one of the most unique islands in the Caribbean.  This thirty-seven square mile island is actually the smallest island in the world to be split between two countries.  France occupies two-thirds of the island (St. Martin) while the Netherlands owns the other third (Sint Maarten).  The two countries coexist very peacefully with open borders, making it easy to travel between the two sides.  In fact, until you get out of your rental car, the only way you will know that you just crossed into the other country is a few welcome signs along the road!

English is the main language in St. Maarten, and although St. Martin is French you will commonly hear English here, too.  U.S. currency is accepted the island through, making this an especially popular place for Americans to visit.  But don’t worry; even though St. Maarten / St. Martin travel is becoming more and more common, there is still a small-island feel and plenty of open space and secluded beaches.  Perhaps that is why travelers choose St. Martin / St. Maarten vacations year after year.  Truly, you can never visit just once!

With a variety of airlines now flying from all over Europe and North America, you will have no problem finding the perfect flight to suit your needs.  Once you arrive, there are luxurious resorts, beautiful hotels, and villas and condos to call home, reefs practically right off the beaches that call to be explored, and the best dining in the Caribbean.  Did we mention duty-free shopping from one end of the island to the other?  In these pages you will find everything you need to plan your travel to and around St. Martin / St. Maarten and great information that will make your vacation a true dream vacation.
